Walla Walla can’t slow down — not yet. Fall Release hits like a friendly storm: visitors everywhere, corks popping, and everyone trying to squeeze in just one more stop. It’s chaotic, celebratory, and exactly the kind of beautiful mess we look forward to all year. Check out a few other places to explore while you’re here too.
Here’s what’s happening this month — from music and theatre to a little movement (and maybe a few calories earned before Thanksgiving dinner).
We’ll share a new events calendar each month, so check back as your plans — and what’s in your glass — start to change. Planning to be here on a day we don’t list? The downtown Walla Walla foundation has you covered.
Fri-Sat, November 7-8
Taste of the Walla Walla Valley (Nov 7)
While the wine world is celebrating its big weekend, there’s also a lot of food to try. Taste of the WWV shares the best bites of Walla Walla — a passport event hosted by the Walla Walla Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Brand new in 2025, think small bites sampling all the places to nibble, sip, or dine. Perfect for easing into Fall Release weekend.
Fall Release Weekend (Nov 7-8)
The grand finale of harvest season — Fall Release Weekend is when Walla Walla really struts its stuff. There are more than 150 wineries in the valley, and just about all of them will be pouring something new or rare. No need to rush — grab a friend, a designated driver, and wander where the glasses lead.
🍷 See the Walla Walla Valley Wine Alliance for the full lineup, or just ask the locals — the best conversations happen at the bar anyway. (A few of our faves will show up on this page, too).
Downtown Indoor Farmers Market (all November Saturdays)
The outdoor stalls might be packed away, but the good stuff’s still here. Inside the Showroom on Colville Street, you’ll find local growers, bakers, and makers keeping the community heartbeat strong — from winter squash to handmade gifts. Don’t forget to check out the shops, too! And get some bagels.

Shrek, the Musical (Nov 7-8) limited seating, Sunday matinee sold out!
Need a break from wine talk? Step into the swamp. Shrek the Musical is pure, ridiculous fun — fairy-tale chaos with a big heart and catchy songs.
Performed by the ever-talented crew at the Little Theatre of Walla Walla, this show brings ogres, donkeys, and happily-ever-afters to the stage in full technicolor. Family-friendly, delightfully weird, and proof that community theatre here can hold its own against the big city stuff.
Fri-Sun, November 14-16
TruthTeller @ Marguerite (Nov 14, 4-6 PM)
Start your weekend right. The boutique winery TruthTeller stops by the charming store Marguerite for wines perfect for Thanksgiving and beyond. Sip, browse, and enjoy a sparkling evening. You won’t find TruthTeller tastings elsewhere in Walla Walla, so take note.
Quartetto Gelato with the Walla Walla Symphony (Nov 15)
If you’ve ever wondered what happens when virtuoso musicians decide to have a little fun — here’s your answer. Quartetto Gelato mixes classical chops with a sense of humor and a dash of global flavor. Hosted by the Walla Walla Symphony, this one’s for anyone who likes their culture with personality. The perfect excuse to wear something fancy and call it “supporting the arts.” Sweet treats and wine from local Maison Bleue/Pambrun will help you celebrate before the show and during intermission.
Wicked Sing-Along (Nov 15)
For one afternoon only, the Gesa Power House Theatre turns into Oz — and you’re part of the cast. Belt your heart out at the Wicked Sing-Along as lyrics light up the screen and the crowd goes full Broadway. Costumes encouraged, off-key harmonies welcome, and applause mandatory. Because in Walla Walla, we don’t just “defy gravity” — we sing about it.
Dinner in the Fireside Lounge with Pursued by Bear (Nov 16)
Reserve your seat at the Marcus Whitman Hotel for a special wine dinner. You might know Kyle MacLachlan from a show (or twenty), but here he’s pouring what really matters — Pursued by Bear, his Walla Walla wine project with winemaker Dan Wampfler. Enjoy a four-course dinner with excellent wines, and expect good stories and big flavors.
Tuesday, November 18
Chatter at House of Smith Wines
This isn’t your grandparents’ chamber concert. Chatter — the collective making its Walla Walla debut — blends J.S. Bach with Britten and more. Hosted by the Walla Walla Chamber Music Festival at House of Smith Wines, this intimate performance brings together wine and musicians from Santa Fe, Portland, and NYC who believe music is really about conversation.
Wednesday November 19
Cocktail Class
Grab a friend and venture over to the Walla Walla Steak Company restaurant for a hands-on cocktail class. You’ll be making 2 classic cocktail with a classic twist, and there will be snacks. (We’re big on snacks). It’s at 5:30, so you also can take advantage of their happy hour.
Sunday November 23
Make a Thanksgiving Floral Centerpiece (1-3 PM)
Roll up your sleeves and make something beautiful for the table. Join a small, hands-on class at Marguerite to build your own Thanksgiving centerpiece. Complete with small bites and bubbly sips. Perfect for anyone who’d rather craft than shop. Although you are likely to do both here!
Thursday, November 27
Turkey Trot 5K/Fun Run
Earn your mashed potatoes the old-fashioned way — running (or walking) the WWCC Turkey Trot. It’s a community 5K that kicks off Thanksgiving morning. Whether you’re chasing a personal best or just chasing the kids, it’s all for a good cause — and you’ll feel slightly more virtuous about that second helping of pie.
Saturday, November 29
Love, Downtown (on Small Business Saturday, 10-3)
Celebrate small business Saturday in downtown Walla Walla with special extra offerings from downtown businesses during the Love, Downtown event. Make the fun last longer and go farther by supporting the small businesses on Saturday. These are the people sharing their passion day in, day out so swing by and say hello.
Makers’ markets abound this day as well. Check Foundry or Walla Walla Roastery for truly local finds. Even wineries may have pop-up shops this weekend – stroll and watch out for one-of-a-kind gifts (for yourself or for others).
Sunday, November 30
Make an Ornament (2-4 PM)
Swing by Echolands and enjoy wine with snacks and a view – and craft your own ornament for the holidays.
