An egg and a chick(en) - which came first?

Which came first and why is it about wine?

Our chicken-or-the-egg debate is who do we attract first, the winemakers, or the customers for the winemakers?

Our customers are buyers (both the wine-savvy and the wine-curious) and winemakers. We must please both to succeed. So why did we launch without selling anything?

Winemakers and wine buyers

For buyers out there – you want something new and get consistently great wine quickly and affordably, without feeling like you don’t know enough to pick.  For partners offering wine, you want to know there are people out there to talk to and who want to try your wine.

We succeed only when we connect you both.

Why did we start without wine?

First attracting customers or social media followers gives our partners confidence, but it limits interest. We build interest without having anything to purchase.

On the other hand, launching our winemakers and wines when ready to go means we have lots to look at, but no audience yet. If we launch it.. they may not come. We have a lot to show off and no one seeing it.

We chose a side. Get ourselves out there first. Based on our goal and the need to do it right. We’re showcasing boutique wines to a broader audience outside of Washington. That means start talking about us and wine, and find our audience and voice. It builds a base for showcasing winemakers and their wines.

What happens next?

Thanks for visiting to check out where we’re headed and how we’re doing it – a bit unrefined style.  Winemakers will show up soon so you’ll want to be here for it.
